Description

The Railroad Adventure Trail runs along what is arguably one of Europe’s most spectacular railroad routes and features informational signs highlighting the cultural and historical achievements of the Albulabahn’s construction pioneers. The hike leads from Preda to Bergün and on to Filisur. Along the way, barbecue areas invite you to take a break and relax.

Directions

From the Kakadu Bar, turn right and follow the road until you’ve crossed the bridge. At the next signpost, the trail leads right up the hill toward Stuls. The trail passes the Albula Railway Museum on the right and then crosses the tracks. After that, continue straight ahead along the road until the path turns into a gravel trail. At the next signpost, turn right again and follow the hiking trail toward Stuls. After crossing the road, the trail continues to the left and downhill—partly steep—running above the railroad tracks to the Stuls

train station. Pass the train station and cross the bridge over the railroad tracks. Then turn right and pass a fire pit. From here, the trail leads steeply downhill to the main road. There, turn left across the parking lot and then cross the street. After crossing the bridge, turn right and follow the hiking trail to the “Bellaluna” house. The trail runs behind the building; then turn right to reach the Albula River. After crossing the bridge, turn left immediately and follow

the hiking trail, which winds along the Albula, all the way to Frevgias.

In Frevgias, turn left, continue straight ahead, and cross another bridge. Immediately afterward, the trail continues to the right toward Filisur along the Albula River. At the next bridge, turn right, cross it, and follow the trail toward the Filisur train station. The final stretch leads through the picturesque village to the train station.
