Orienteering

During the summer months until the end of August, 15 to 20 orienteering checkpoints are set up on the Albula Pass. The network is designed both for individual orienteering training sessions and for hikers who would like to combine their hike with an orienteering course.

Participants are free to choose which checkpoints they wish to visit. Four courses of varying difficulty levels are suggested for beginners and advanced participants.

The start and finish are not marked. The checkpoints are marked with an orienteering control marker. There is no timekeeping.

Maps and Area

The map showing the checkpoints can be purchased for CHF 5.00 from Bergün Filisur Tourism AG or at the Albula Hospiz.

The area is located at over 2,000 metres above sea level and is also ideally suited for altitude training.

A new Cloud Orienteering (Cloud-OL) option is now available for regular orienteering runners.
