The demanding ride over the Scaletta Pass and up to the Kesch Hut could be called the centerpiece of the Graubünden Bike route, which offers everything in terms of trails, scenery and challenge. Then comes the descent to Val Tuors: a high-Alpine section surrounded by 3,000 m peaks and glacier snouts.

Details

Description

The route starts in Davos and follows the picturesque Dischma valley to the Berggasthaus Dürrboden, which offers the first opportunity to stop. From here, the partially very steep ascent begins via the old mule track up to the Scalettapass. For good bikers, the pass is 80-90% rideable. The descent into Val Tours is partly tricky and requires full riding skills. However, the enchanting landscape fully compensates for the hardships of the ascent. Afterwards, the trail leads to Bergün, where the sixth stage ends.

Geheimtipp

The Kesch hut offers a place to stop and refresh.

Sicherheitshinweis

In the Davos Klosters destination, there are many managed alpine pastures with livestock farming. Therefore, it is to be expected to encounter animals everywhere. We ask for appropriate consideration and also to ride the terrain at an adapted pace.

Attention: In October and from the end of April to the end of May, the Swiss army conducts shooting exercises around S-chanf. Thus, the area between S-chanf and the Berggasthaus Dürrboden over the Scalettapass is closed or is life-threatening.
