Snowshoe hike on the ski training slope at Bergün and on to the Bergünerstein, which once impeded travel from Filisur to Bergün. The route back goes by the edge of the forest with views of the railway village of Bergün, the Val Tuors and the Albula.

Description

The popular circular hike starts below the Tect ski lift. From there, you head over snow-covered fields towards Buel. This old trail continues up to the top of the Bergünerstein. Enjoy the silence of the Urmena Forest as well as the view from the west back to Bergün. You will be impressed by the high, vertically falling rock faces of the massif. Until 1696, the Bergünerstein blocked the way from Filisur to Bergün. Today, there is a winding road that leads past the rocks and into the valley.

The way back partly follows the winter hiking trail and takes you around the small ski resort of Tect/Zinols before you head on towards the starting point. The Tect ski lift is by the La Posina restaurant, where you can relax and watch all the activity on the slopes.
