For the artist Linard Nicolay, this is already the fourth art exhibition in his home village. Nicolay presents his latest works in the "Talvo Chesa Orta", one of the few remaining historic hay barns in the village, which has promisingly transformed into an important place for art and culture over the last few years. At the finissage on Saturday, August 22, 2026, the well-known pianist Vera Kappeler will give a concert at 5 p.m.

The expressive series of sculptures made of iron, marble, wood, glass and plaster
refers to a development that has been in the making for the artist for some time to introduce space as a primary, malleable element in his sculpture. Linard Nicolay takes up fundamental questions of sculpture and sculpture of classical modernism in order to reformulate them. Thus, the reciprocal discursive tension between space, form and material forms the intellectual and motivic core of his work. It is remarkable how the presentation in the 400-year-old historic building is reconciled with the requirements of a contemporary art space.
