»When dreams take root« is her first novel in which she devotes herself to her favourite place, the garden. When she's not writing, she loves to spend her time in her allotment, digging through the earth and listening to the bees hum.

When her grandmother has to go to the hospital, Charlie suddenly faces a problem: someone has to take care of Grandma Freya's allotment. But Charlie has never had a green thumb. Thanks to Freya's tips and the help of the other allotment gardeners, Charlie not only learns how to grow vegetables. She also understands that all plants here have a story and that Freya's great love is inevitably connected with it. If only it weren't for her unfriendly neighbour Matteo. But when spring arrives, Charlie has changed, and suddenly she knows exactly how to make happiness bloom.
