Ensemble Tamangur

The Ensemble Tamangur is a group of outstanding young musicians who dedicate themselves to chamber music in various formations. In 2018, Lorenza Borrani, concertmaster of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, and cellist Ursina Maria Braun, winner of the "Bach Prize" (Leipzig 2016), initiated the first project with Johannes Brahms' two string sextets in the Swiss Engadine. The members of Tamangur have been working closely together for years in various ensembles and constellations (Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Spira mirabilis and various chamber music formations); they share large parts of their musical background: the understanding of the language of music and the philosophy of music-making, as well as a very special quality of communication, characterized by a deep understanding of the motivation of their work, both on a musical and on a human level.
